  • Opportunities in the Capitol Region
    A look at what businesses are already in our area and the most promising areas for local investment.   On which sub-segments of the “green jobs” concept should we focus?  How can the federal government, state government, and other organizations help foster these investments?

In each of the following two sessions, workshop leaders will present a group of recommended action items and guide a discussion to identify priorities.

  • Access to Capital and Tax Credits                                                     
    The moderator will lead a group discussion on how market incentives, government policies, and environmental consciousness can create new jobs and inspire new and innovative technologies. Access to capital and efficient tax credits and the barriers to each will be discussed.

OR

  • Best Practices Across the Country                                                                     Leaders from Virginia, Ohio, and Oklahoma will join the panel to discuss their states’ successes in implementing regulations and policies that ease the transition to green practices. Their input will help shape a model to strive for in New York.

Joining the moderator on stage, workshop leaders will present a refined set of recommended action items, developed during the earlier sessions. Led by the moderator, participants will rate each of these recommendations using wireless keypads to identify areas of consensus and establish overall priorities.
