East and southeast Fort Worth faces a simultaneous increase in the number of elderly and youth in the area. As the demographics – and economic focal points – of the area shift, improving all levels and all facets of education and workforce development systems will be an important step in addressing short-term challenges while preparing for long-term success. The summit will examine approaches to strengthening educational achievement of local students while removing barriers to employment for an aging labor force. |
