Where most regions of our nation once focused on growing their economies through traditional business retention and incentive-based recruitment programs, many are now realizing the importance of entrepreneurialism as a powerful long-term solution to good jobs and economic prosperity. Particularly of importance to the area due to a growing Hispanic population and large African-American population, minority entrepreneurship offers another avenue for urban investment. The summit will examine how entrepreneurs bring innovation to the area, developing businesses that can serve as a catalyst for new growth. |
